As an additional comment, in my experience one of the best tools for collecting internationally is to have a collector that speaks the local language. While not always possible, in my opinion this is always preferable.

Best regards

As Darrell mentioned you can contact CMA about starting a group. In my case, CMA did not have an industry group that fit my needs and my industry already had a group that was serviced by NACM Midwest. NACM has many industry group including a musical instrument group. Here is the information:

National Musical Instrument Credit Group
Membership Qualifications: Manufacturers, distributors and importers of musical instruments or equipment, or their captive finance companies
Services Provided: Monthly reports, weekly flash
Meetings: Twice yearly. Once in January in conjunction with a trade show and once in the summer
Administrator: Tammy Anderson 847-483-6424

Ben,

As far as starting a credit group the best way is for you to contact CMA and let them know our your interest in starting the group. The next thing that you will need to do is contact some of the other companies within your industry and explain what you are looking to do. It will be better coming from you than CMA, and will be more widely accepted. I did this with a Gaming Suppliers Group in Las Vegas and it was very easy. Once you getting going, just keep reaching out and trying to find new members, and watch it grow.
