In my experience, the quality of resumes for credit professionals needs improvement. For example, resumes I have reviewed often focus on job duties rather than on accomplishments. The resumes I see are often far too long and provide far too much detail.

For a couple of years, I have worked with a not-for-profit organization, the FENG, reviewing and editing or commenting on members resumes. I learned about what to look for in resumes after spending seven years managing the HR function for a previous employer. [No, I didn't work in HR --- I managed the HR department]

Here is the bottom line: If you send me your resume, I will edit it and/or recommend changes at no charge --- and with no obligation. This process will be completely confidential.

Call me if you have questions at 949 584 9685, otherwise email your resume to me at: mcdennis13@yahoo.com

The Community does sit outside of anscers - it is a separate piece of software. We connect web visitors to it from several sites - CMA's main site, Encyclopedia of Credit and anscers.com.

We were able to connect the login data from anscers to the community so that we could provide a single sign on.

I think this theme is much cleaner and easier to read also. Hopefully that will help us increase conversations on the Community.

Amber--

Thanks for the heads-up. Our National Lien Department has worked to incorporate this. We're hoping this doesn't catch on in other states, though, due to the increase in paperwork and procedural steps.

I'd like it better if it would have the tabs to RFIs, Groups, Reports etc. At least on the browser I use, there are no visible tabs. This was a feature I did not have on the old version as well. But I use Firefox and have had some unique issues with it so I don't know if the tabs are visible for others using a different browser.

We are testing out a new theme on the CMA Commmunity - that is a bit cleaner and easier to navigate than the previous theme.

(A Theme is the overall look of the site with some functionality changes)

Please tell us what you think of the new look.

New legislation has been passed in Oregon, protecting homeowners from liens filed by unlicensed contractors performing improvements on their property. Further, those who provide materials, equipment, or labor to an unlicensed contractor are also prohibited from filing a lien. The new law also eliminates the ability of a purchaser of residential property to waive protection against a claim of lien. The act becomes effective January 1, 2011.

I received the 2/1/2010 Just The Fa(x)cts but did not really read it. After reading this post, I went back and found it, it's okay, however I also vote for Emailing instead of faxing. Faxes get lost in the request credit references pile.

I agree with DMarc. We're trying to use virtual faxes and e-mails, and getting another piece of paper unexpectedly faxed over just adds to my day, and not in a good way.

BTW, I didn't get one, either, and I suspect it disappeared into a recycling bin, if there was no clear recipient.

I *far* prefer e-mail to faxes. Thanks.

I received one, it was sitting on our fax not addressed to anyone so fortunately someone left it there instead of throwing it away as junk mail. At first glance I thought it was junk mail too until I noticed the CMA in the top corner. I get innundated by CMA stuff in my email, pleeeaaaase don't fax stuff also...
